On Thursday, June 15 at 6 PM, you are invited to participate in a candidate forum for the appointment of the next 20th District State Senator.
State Senator of the 20th District Cristina Pacione-Zayas will be joining the administration of Mayor Brandon Johnson administration, creating a vacancy that will be filled by appointment. 33rd Ward Working Families is proud to join our fellow Northwest Side Independent Political Organizations in co-hosting this event with the goal of ensuring that our shared district continues to be filled by a champion for working-class families.

Please note that this forum is not the official appointment process but rather a forum open to the public to model a more democratic and transparent process. As such, we are also inviting the Cook County Democratic Party committeepersons who hold votes in the official process to attend if they commit to voting for the candidate who ends up getting our collective endorsement.
