33rd Ward Teacher Solidarity & Strike Support

We stand in solidarity with the Chicago Teachers Union in their fight for a robust plan to keep our students, teachers, and communities safe during the COVID-19 crisis.

This fight may lead to the need for a city-wide strike to win demands around school safety.

We are looking for volunteers who can help lead our community solidarity and strike support activities at 33rd Ward schools.

Tasks may include:

  • Distributing supplies (coffee, hand warmers, etc.) to the picket lines
  • Staffing the 33rd Ward Working Families office for meals
  • Calling or text-banking our members to turn them out for shifts on the picket lines

Note: We expect developments in this situation to happen quickly. Please expect to jump into action right away, if needed.

Thank you!

Will you volunteer?
