1/10/22 CTU appreciation lunch

Chicago Public Schools and Mayor Lori Lightfoot have failed to provide safe learning and working conditions in the middle of this latest surge in COVID-19 cases. But rather than admit their unpreparedness and shift to remote learning, they have decided to deny children the opportunity to learn at all. Teachers and staff are locked out of their accounts and are going unpaid, while still working to find ways to serve their students and families. We want to show our appreciation to CTU members for not backing down until CPS can ensure that in-person learning will not put the lives of students, families, and the larger community at risk.

CTU Members: Pick up a free boxed lunch on Monday between 11:30am-12:30 pm from one of these locations:

  • Albany Park: 3248 W. Montrose Ave. (33rd Ward Working Families office)
  • Avondale: 2934 N Milwaukee Unit D (United Neighbors of the 35th Ward office)

Community Members: Show your support by donating to help fund the lunches.
