This November we have the chance to vote YES for a new approach to public safety!
Our Alderwoman Rossana Rodríguez Sanchez has introduced an innovative new approach to investing in public safety. Her Treatment Not Trauma Ordinance would reopen shuttered mental health clinics to provide emergency walk in services and create a new emergency response line to dispatch trained social workers in cases of mental health emergencies. While neighbors overwhelmingly support this ordinance, the Mayor has stalled it in city council, so 33rd Ward Working Families put a question on this fall's ballot to demonstrate that we want to see this new approach to public safety and community care.
Join us for a community townhall to learn more about this program and talk with your neighbors about how we build the safe and caring communities we need. RSVP below!
