33rd Ward Working Families voted to spend the summer petitioning to put Treatment Not Trauma on the ballot because we want to talk to our neighbors about reopening Chicago's shuttered mental health clinics, creating a city-wide crisis
response program that dispatches mental health professionals and an EMT to calls instead of armed police officers, and funding a strong public care system able to support individuals after they have a crisis and work to prevent emergencies before they happen.
Join us this Saturday to learn more about this campaign, sign a petition, and talk to a few neighbors. We'll have details about the proposal and a chance to learn more. You can sign the petition, bring friends and neighbors along, and - if you're ready to spread the word - get a list of neighbors to talk to.
